querstadtein organizes city tours that invite you to change your perspective: People who were once homeless show the neighborhood where they used to sleep on the streets. City guides from countries such as Syria, Iraq and Kenya talk about their escape and show places that made their arrival in Germany easier.
On the tours, the city guides link stations from their own biographies with places in public spaces. As actors in political education, they provide information on the topics of homelessness, flight and migration. This creates space for very personal conversations and the opportunity to rethink stereotypes and break down prejudices.
The querstadtein city tours have been available in Berlin since 2013.
