Der Verein „Äpfel und Konsorten“ setzt sich für den Schutz und die Pflege von Streuobstwiesen in Berlin und Brandenburg ein. Ihr Ziel ist es, die regionale Biodiversität zu fördern und zu bewahren sowie die Streuobstwiesen wieder zu einem wichtigen Bestandteil der lokalen Wirtschaft und des Naturschutzes zu machen.
Since 2018, the association has been the central competence center for orchards in Brandenburg. They lease and buy old orchards and create new orchards so that they do not disappear from the Brandenburg landscape!
In addition, Äpfel & Konsorten supports farmers and other orchard initiatives in maintaining the existing stock and planting old apple varieties typical of the region.
